CAREER
1989-1992 After graduating second in her year at the prestigious Trinity College, Dublin, Jackie used her zoology degree to embark on a science career. Her first job was as a scientific information officer in animal breeding and genetics with the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau. She then became editor of five engineering journals at Oxford publishing company STI before moving to Surrey to take up a position as a writer and editor at medical PR company MAC.
But a move to Jersey in the Channel Islands followed, as Jackie decided to try a dramatic career change from science to journalism...
